Olivia Hayden

Oberlin College, Senior
Summer 2008 Intern

"I am so happy that I got the chance to intern with International Action. My supervisors give me substantial responsibilities and allow me to translate documents, go to events on Capitol Hill, and network with other Washington D.C. non-profits. Our director buys as many books as he can on Haiti, and all of the interns are constantly reading. Our office functions as a little family and we are included in business lunches and conferences. The friendly vibe of the office is mixed with a sense of responsibility and action."

Kristine Mosuela

William and Mary, Sophomore
Summer 2008 Intern

"Best internship ever! Really, I always look forward to going to work--the people here are so friendly. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about international affairs and what's going on in the Capitol (and Capital). There's always something to talk about! I've learned so much since I've been here about life in Haiti, how non-profit non-governmental organizations work, politics, the impact of clean water (and how much we take it for granted here). I feel so lucky to be interning at IA because of the atmosphere and the issues that we're dealing with, including global health, international aid, service, francophone languages, and how to get involved in DC. I feel like everything I do actually does make a difference; it's great."

Jeffery Sejour

Frostburg State University, Senior

Jeffery Sejour

"My experience at International Action has been very rewarding. I believe that this experience is the key that will start me in the right direction. I enjoy the comfortable and welcoming office atmosphere. Interning for IA is personally beneficial to me, because I myself am Haitian and I am able to contribute a lot to this organization. This is a great way for me to help other people in need and I am glad that I am part of the IA team because I feel so personally connected to the project."

Amelie Cardon

Towson University, B.A. International Studies, Economics Minor
Current Intern

"Throughout my academic and personal life, I have come to highly respect the professionalism and actions of your organization and its employees. I am confident that your organization's values and objectives will highly complement my own strength and the enthusiasm I express towards the economic and social development of countries and populations in need."
